We are very excited with our Launch Reception just next week when Thomas Harding will be speaking about his book, The House by the Lake. We are pretty much full and looking at ways we could accommodate the last few RSVPs for what should be a brilliant evening. Importantly, we’ll be asking guests to sow the seeds of learning through our courses, online conversations and chances for meaningful Jewish learning. Thomas Harding’s book, The House by the Lake, will also be available for purchase and signing on the night.
In two weeks, Rabbi Janes will be running the first ever Lyons Learning Project ‘Introduction to Judaism’ for employers. This will also fulfil our purpose to support learning about Judaism to all, not just Jews, in particular where cultural and religious sensitivities are necessary. Expressions of interest by employers can be directed to Rabbi Neil Janes through our contact page.
Finally, our courses are available for enrolment and we’re excited to announce that Rabbi Janes will be teaching the Talmud course and the course on ‘Writing our own Torah commentary’. Rabbi Lior Nevo will be teaching our course ’12 Jewish Questions’ – she is a brilliant educator with years of expertise in teaching.
